About Masisizane Investment Readiness Transformation Programme

The Masisizane Investment Readiness Transformation Programme is a twelve-month development initiative implemented by 22 On Sloane and TEKSA. It is designed to prepare high-potential small and medium enterprises (SMEs) across South Africa for commercial viability and growth.

Key Programme Highlights:

  • Cohort: Growth and scale-up SMEs operating in the Services and Logistics sectors.
  • Core Focus: Goes beyond capital to strengthen essential business foundations—specifically governance, financial management, operational systems and market linkages.
  • Funding Pipeline: Graduates of the programme become investment-ready and eligible to apply for R1 million to R20 million in loan funding through the Masisizane Fund.
  • Strategic Goal: To build resilient, scalable and impact-driven enterprises that contribute meaningfully to inclusive economic development.

Improve business competitiveness through strategic market linkages and access-to-market opportunities.

Develop investment-ready SMEs that can apply for R1 million to R20 million in loan funding through the Masisizane Fund.

22 On Sloane

22 On Sloane is the largest startup campus and entrepreneurship hub in Africa. The campus offers startups and innovative SMMEs a complete turnkey solution to scale, from the initial idea to commercialisation, funding opportunities and access to markets. Its aim is to nurture the entrepreneurial mindset, ensure their sustainability, and explore development of new industries while contributing towards job creation in Africa.

Masisizane Fund

The Masisizane Fund is a non-profit funding entity and an Old Mutual initiative established in 2007. It supports SMMEs with access to finance and business development services to help them establish, grow and create sustainable jobs. The Fund focuses on majority black-owned enterprises, with particular emphasis on businesses in township, peri-urban and rural areas, as well as those owned by women, youth and people with disabilities.

TEKSA Holdings

TEKSA Holdings is a 100% black woman-owned South African consulting firm established in 2018. The company provides advisory, technology and enterprise development services across strategy, governance, enterprise architecture and investment readiness. TEKSA helps growth-focused businesses and institutions strengthen their systems, improve performance and become future-ready.
