About The Grant

COVID-19 Has Disrupted Many Businesses To Date, Most Specifically Small-scale Businesses In Townships.

The situation was worsened by protest actions that took place in July 2021 particularly in Kwa Zulu-Natal and Gauteng Province. The Post-Covid Early Recovery Grant 2021 aims to support 10 female owned businesses with USD$5,000 each to reboot and revive their businesses. This seed grant funding is made possible by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in partnership with 22 ON SLOANE.

Application Dates & Winner Announcement

Applications are open from 3 – 9 November and the top 10 female-owned businesses will be announced during the Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) on the 11th of November.

 

Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) is the world’s largest celebration of innovators who dream big and launch startups that brings ideas to life. This year will mark the 14th year of celebrating the annual Global Entrepreneurship Week with local startups with the aim of raising awareness about innovation and entrepreneurship. GEW reaches new audiences and connects participants to a network that can help them take the next step, no matter where they are on their entrepreneurial journey.
