The AI-Driven Innovation Hackathon challenges participants to work in teams to design and build practical solutions using Artificial Intelligence to tackle real-world challenges faced by businesses and communities.
Over two days, developers, data scientists, designers, entrepreneurs, students, and innovators will collaborate to turn ideas into working prototypes. Teams will receive mentorship from industry experts and access to AI tools and APIs to bring their concepts to life. By the end of the hackathon, participants will walk away with new skills, connections, prizes, and ideas for using AI to create meaningful change in their industries and communities.
The Startup Huddle event provides a platform for entrepreneurs to discover solutions to the challenges they face through purposeful engagement with a broad array of voices from the local community, who can also share their experiences.
Startups are given context about the topic at hand, which includes tools, tricks and techniques from experts. This can take up to 10min. Thereafter, they will be given 2-3 minutes to tell us about some of the challenges they have encountered in their business venture. Participants then get into small groups where they Huddle for a 10-minute -interactive activity. Each group selects a team member or two to share what they discussed. The Huddle will close off having equipped the techies with practical and value-add experience they can use in their startup journey.
The AI Innovation Forum, hosted in partnership with Open AI, is a lead-up event to the Africa Tech Festival, focusing on Africa’s role in the global conversation on Artificial Intelligence (AI). The summit will dive into how AI can support startups, MSMEs, and communities to drive innovation and opportunity at scale.
