Powering The Next Generation of Entrepreneurs.

Considering South Africa’s high growth of women entrepreneurs, one can see that unlocking their potential through access to capital and markets can make a huge contribution to the country’s growth and prosperity.

 

As such, 22 On Sloane, will be celebrating Women’s Month by hosting a panel discussion and a networking event under the theme ‘Investing in Women Entrepreneurs in South Africa’. The event aims to spur conversations regarding the investment landscape (access to markets and access to capital) particularly for women in South Africa. Furthermore, it will be a session that will facilitate and promote thought-leadership amongst valuable stakeholders in the entrepreneurship ecosystem.

 

Intended Outcomes:  

-Supporting the development of a critical skills base that is representative of women

-Inspiring women to be part of South Africa’s investment space by educating and promoting thought leadership,

-Establishing the means to make the environment conducive for women-led business to access various types of capital and markets,

-Bridging the gender gap in the Venture Capital firms by empowering women to get involved in the investment space, either as stakeholders or thought leaders.
